Adopted Coastal Zone Management Plan

Coastal management is a challenging issue. We anticipate a dynamic and retreating shoreline and we believe our Coastal Zone Management Plan should allow flexibility in how we manage this.  The plan aims to:

  • empower people to undertake actions themselves
  • provide people with a variety of tools they can use to suit their own circumstances
  • give community groups the ability to seek solutions
  • allow people to use their land  for as long as practicable.

The plan was adopted by Council on 16 September 2015 and sent to the NSW Minister for Planning, the Hon Rob Stokes MP, for certification.
