Inclusion, independency and dignity are important to us. We help people living with a disability and their careers access the services and support they need.  

Celebrate abilities

“Celebrating Abilities” is an annual event that celebrates the involvement, skill and achievements of people living with a disability. It is held on the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). The event has competitions in art,cooking and poetry and finishes with a concert.  Entry forms for these competitions are now available on this page under Documents.

MLAK key

The MLAK is a master key that gives people with a disability 24-hour access to toilets fitted with an MLAK lock.

MLAK stands for Master Locksmiths' Association Key.

You can buy a MLAK key from our Customer Service Centre or Wingham Library. For more information and to see if you are eligible, visit Master Locksmiths Association.

Plug n Go (chargepoint)

Do you use a motorised wheelchair?

If you are ever out and about and worried about running out of power, there are a number of charge points available in both Taree and Wingham that can be used at no cost.  Chargepoint stations are a safe and convenient way to charge your motorised wheelchair.

Chargepoint stations are available at:

  • Council Administration Centre, Pulteney Street
  • Greater Taree City Libraries
  • Manning Aquatic and Leisure Centre
  • Manning Valley Visitor Information Centre
  • Taree Airport
  • Wingham Pool
