Fire safety

You can reduce the risk of fire by being prepared.

Smoke alarms are compulsory in homes, caravans and campervans. You must have at least one working smoke alarm on each level of your home.

Council has strict rules in place to prevent buildings catching fire. Buildings containing essential fire safety measures must be inspected at least once a year and an annual Fire Safety Statement must be given to us. Failure to comply is an offence and penalties apply.
